While the high raw food diet can be extremely beneficial, there seems to be a great deal of confusion and controversy about it.  I have outlined the top myths and facts about this diet!

Facts about the high raw food diet:

  • It can help you to look younger
  • It can help you feel more energetic
  • It can help you lose weight
  • It can help you get off of medication and reverse disease states

Myths about the high raw food diet:

  • You have to be 100% raw to get the benefits.
  • You have to be 100% vegan or vegetarian to do this diet.
  • As long as it's raw you can eat anything you want.
  • As long as it's raw you can eat as much as you want.

The bottom line is the high raw food diet can change your life.  Done properly you can eat more and lose weight, look younger, feel better and get healthier.  Like anything, you still need some education to adopt this diet in a healthy way.  You still need to eat a balanced diet, with not too much sugar or fat.  Calories are calories and if you eat too many you will gain weight.  Although, you can usually eat more on a high raw food diet because the food has such high water and  fiber content and minimal calories.  Even if you aren't ready to go 100% raw or vegetarian, you can still benefit by eating more raw fruits and veggies.  A great health or raw food coach can help get you on the right path!
