Dr. Oz tv show recap: bed bug epidemic
Bed bugs rely on the human or animal blood to survive and infestations have risen 500% in the past few years. They hate light and love heat & darkness so hide in dark crevasses. Dr. Miller, entomologist, shared:
- Some people don't react to bites
- Rash bites occurs in 3's
- Found in motels and used furniture
- 1 bedbug multiplies to 500 in 1 year
5 places bedbugs hide
- Box springs, turn over and slit covering
- Furniture close to bed, look underneath & underneath drawers
- Behind headboards
- Behind picture frames

If find bedbugs, call exterminator. Replacing with new furniture will not eliminate them. Plus, throwing old away spreads them.
