
Herbs are very aromatic. When herbs are hanging on the kitchen walls to dry,the kitchen smells wonderful.
Everyone is getting their house ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ideas of decorating are dancing in peoples heads.There are many places in the home that you can use herbs for decoration and scent. You can make/buy a plain grapevine wreath and add your own favorite dried herbs to it.Lavender,Sage, Rosemary, and/or Eucalyptus are great aromatic herbs to place on a wreath, Just add a beautiful bow when you are finished.
Live herbs in a decorative pot are also an excellent centerpiece for any table.Dried Lavender or Rosemary works with any dried flower arrangement.
Herbal essential oils are a great thing to add to potpourri to scent a room, or make a centerpiece with. Cinnamon essential oil is a favorite for holidays to add a warm and inviting scent to any room. You can get many wonderful essential oils like Clove,Orange,Spruce, Cedar,Frankincense,Lemon,Peppermint ,and Fir. There are many more wonderful essential oil scents to choose from. The ways to use them to create a warm and wonderful scented home are only limited by your imagination.
Whole cloves placed into an orange make for a warm spicy orange scent in any room.(you can place the orange in a decorative arrangement of some sort.) Boiling a pot of water with cloves and cinnamon on the stove brings a warm scent to the kitchen.
Herbal scented bath salts are easy to make using herbal essential oils. Many aromatherapy candles are scented with essential oils from herbs. So go herbal for the holidays. My house does and it is appreciated by those who come for Holiday dinners.
