Now, I know this is a "beauty" page but hey; what's more beautiful than donating to a good cause? Enter the Christopher Barron Live Life Foundation.
The foundation was set up to commemorate Christopher Barron, a little boy with an amazing zest for life that included a love of the New York Mets and a dream to make and sell his own comic books. Sadly, Christopher lost his battle with leukemia at the tender age of 9.
The CB Foundation provides children with similar interests an opportunity to pursue passions that they and Christopher share. In January 2010, the foundation is launching a comic book writing program. Partnered with School 21 in Patterson, NJ and a slew of comic book pros, the program will allow 5th graders to use their creativity and imaginations while allowing Christopher's legacy to live on through there unique designs.
Sound like something worthwhile? Then pick up the CB Live Life Bracelet from local jeweler Nicole Vazquez. The yummy piece, which costs a mere $60, features orange and blue crystals signifying Christopher's love of the Mets. Half of all proceeds go directly to the CB Foundation.
