On Saturday, Rusty Wallace Inc. announced that Scott McDougall would crew chief the organization's No. 66 team and driver Steve Wallace. McDougall came to RWI in late 2009 from CJM Racing. He was an engineer with CJM's No. 11 team, which recently folded.
Rusty Wallace has built a first-rate organization, and there is a ton of potential here," McDougall said. "Steve Wallace is one of the series' fastest and most-rapidly improving drivers."
McDougall isn't unfamiliar with crew chiefing. Prior to his stint with CJM, he was a part of the Evernham Motorsports team. He spent part of his time with the Evernham organization as crew chief of the No. 19 Sprint Cup car driven by Elliott Sadler.
"Scott McDougall brings a great deal of experience and a strong engineering-driven approach to our team's efforts," team owner Rusty Wallace said. "As we go along, we're constantly trying to upgrade all aspects of our program, and this is yet another large upgrade."
