Dale Earnhardt Junior on Disney Channel: The Junior Nation can get a dose of their man away from the track as NASCAR’s most popular driver Dale Earnhardt Junior will make an appearance on the Disney Channel on Saturday March 20th. Earnhardt will guest star in the Handy Mandy Big Race (6:00 p.m. EST), which according to the network is a primetime special for preschoolers and parents. In the episode Manny and the tools hit the motor speedway as a pit crew for the highly anticipated Wood Valley 500.

Roush Is Cool With It: Team owner Jack Roush issued a statement Wednesday concerning his driver Carl Edwards. Edwards was involved in an on-track altercation with driver Brad Keselowski last Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway during the Kobalt Tools 500 that ended with Keselowki’s Dodge flipping into the fence. Tuesday NASCAR put Edwards on a three race probation. The statement read: "We are satisfied that NASCAR fairly considered all the circumstances in its decision to discipline Carl (Edwards). We look forward to meeting with NASCAR, Roger (Penske) and Brad (Keselowski) in Bristol next weekend and it is our hope to put this behind us at that time. Missed in all of this was a really strong performance by Roush Fenway - and the Ford teams in general - at Atlanta last weekend and we are eager to continue to build on that moving forward."

Furniture Row Racing Feeling Upbeat About RCR Alliance, Early Results: Joe Garone, general manager of Furniture Row Racing, said the team's new technical and engineering alliance with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has already had a positive impact. "It's been approximately six weeks since we formed an alliance with RCR, and we can already feel a special synergy between the two organizations," said Garone. "We're being treated as a teammate of RCR's multicar operation, and it's exciting to be aligned with one of the elite NASCAR Sprint Cup organizations. With the data sharing process going both ways, it will no doubt be a valuable asset for Furniture Row Racing and RCR." Garone added that as the alliance with RCR moves forward, the No. 78 Furniture Row Chevy, driven by Regan Smith, will be under the same chassis program as the three RCR teams of Kevin Harvick's No. 29 Shell/Pennzoil Chevrolet, Jeff Burton's No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet and Clint Bowyer's No. 33 Cheerios/Hamburger Helper Chevrolet. Garone also wanted to clear up any confusion about Furniture Row's engine program. "We are again running Hendrick engines," Garone said. "This is our third full season of having Hendrick horsepower under the hood of the Furniture Row Chevy."

Hendrick Clunker?: A rarity occurred last Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway -- not a single member of Hendrick Motorsports finished in the top 10. The last time that happened was at Watkins Glen in August of last season. The last time it happened in a non-road course event was last season's rain-shortened Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

NASCAR Foundation To Multi-Task On NASCAR Day: The NASCAR Foundation announced Wednesday five community service projects across the country as keystone events to take place on NASCAR Day on May 21, teaming with several official NASCAR partners and aimed at education and helping children live happier, healthier lives. "The Big Five" projects include: renovation and race theme decoration of a portion of the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta, Ga.; partnering with Bank of America for a racing-themed educational initiative at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.; working with Sprint, Inc. for a playground build at the Kansas City Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City, Mo.; A Place for Hope project outside Charlotte, N.C., and a youth initiative at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif.
