Evanovich's Kindle Million Club colleagues include Stieg Larsson, James Patterson, Nora Roberts, Charlaine Harris, Lee Child, Suzanne Collins, Michael Connelly, John Locke and Kathryn Stockett.
Evanovich is best known for her Stephanie Plum mystery series, which centers on the misadventures of bail bonds agent Stephanie, her friends and her family. Explosive Eighteen, Evanovich’s 18th Stephanie Plum work, will be available on Nov. 22, 2011.
Evanovich began her Stephanie Plum series in 1994 with One for the Money. Lionsgate will release a film adaptation of this work in the U.S. January 27, 2012. The One for the Money film stars Katherine Heigl in the role of Stephanie Plum, Jason O'Mara as Joe Morelli and Daniel Sunjata as Ranger.
Evanovich has authored other mystery series as well, including her Alexandra Barnaby series and her new Diesel series. The Diesel series originated as a spinoff from Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum books. Four such spinoffs were published from 2002 through 2009 as the Between-the-Numbers series.
In a press release issued Aug. 16, 2011 Evanovich had this to say about her induction into the Kindle Million Club."Wow! I'm thrilled to join such a talented group of writers who've also reached this million-copy milestone. I'm so grateful to my readers and look forward to reaching more milestones with them and with Amazon in the years to come."
