In today's digital music world, there are thousands of online options for struggling musicians who wish to showcase their music. So with so many options, how can music fans discover, stream, and download music from local musicians in their community? Well Chicagoans, today just may be your lucky day. Below are the profiles for some of Chicago's best website's for local fans and musicians.
Indie Collision.com
Independent Chicago musician, Carlo Navarro has recently launched IndieCollision.com, a web-site that brings struggling independent musicians and music enthusiasts together….for free.
Although IndieCollision is a relatively new website, its accessibility for music fans and artists in combination with its user-friendly navigation, make it a great platform for musicians to showcase their music and feel empowered.
Music enthusiasts can search for artists by genre, city, or artist/band name. The site currently features a collection of artists from several Chicagoland suburbs including Lincolnwood, IL and Niles, IL in addition to a small roster of artists from around the country. Visitors of the site also have the ability to save, purchase and share their favorites with friends via several social networking sites.
As music fans have the opportunity to vote on the artists they “love” and “loathe,” the artists can in turn, see in what cities they are most popular via an interactive map; giving them the chance to adapt their marketing efforts to particular markets.
To join IndieCollision.com simply go to www.indiecollision.com, click on “Artist Sign Up” or “Fan Sign Up,” and fill out the registration form to secure a login to manage your profile.
Discover TRUE independent artists.

Chicago’s Independent Music Review
This website gives independent musicians a chance to be heard and reviewed. Whether it’s a live show or recorded music, based on the site’s entries, the reviews are pretty thorough and unbiased. A website “dedicated to helping out unsigned musicians,” the site is independently operated. All submissions must have a minimum of four tracks, and can be sent to Jason Petros, the editor and lead reviewer.
