American Idol contestant Alex Lambert is receiving celebrity support for the petition to bring him back for the show's Season 9 finals despite his elimination Thursday night.

Actress Demi Moore has hopped on the "Bring Alex Lambert Back" bandwagon by retweeting the link to the Alex Lambert petition to her Twitter following of more than 2 million.
Shortly after Thursday night's American Idol elimination show, Moore tweeted: "So bummed Akex (sic) Lambert got voted out he has an amazing voice! Did the judges screw him with their feedback?". The next morning, Moore joined the campaign to reinstate Alex Lambert with a string of #BRINGALEXBACKs and a plea to her followers to "help me retweet this!".

American Idol Season 2 contestant Kimberly Caldwell has also retweeted the petition to reinstate Alex Lambert as part of Season 9 finals. Caldwell, who came in 7th in Idol's Season 2 retweeted Saturday: "This petition to bring Alex Lambert back on Idol has 7,000+ sigs! He's the true talent!" with a link.
By Sunday afternoon, the "Bring Alex Lambert Back" petition had garnered more than 11,500 signatures.
The first episode of the American Idol Top 12 finals will be taped this Tuesday at CBS Studios in Hollywood at 8:00PM EST.

Alex is cool, but, last time I looked, this is based on phone calls. How many of the petition signers were calling in that night?
Most of the people who signed the petition did vote for Alex wednesday night. Lots couldn't even get thru b/c of a constant busy signal so idk what was goinng on with that. I know I voted thru text for 2 hours straight and I have never voted for any other contestant so that shows how impressed I am with Alex. He is truely talented and if he doesn't come back I will not watch anymore.
In my opinion they should have kept him and got rid of Tim Urban. There is nothing special or new about Tim. But I would pay to bring back Alex. Please sign the petition

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I would ACTUALLY pick up the phone and vote for him if they brought him back on. He's by far the best of the boys and not a corny tool like Michael Lynche.

I did vote that night but was getting busy signals most of the time..I was seriously in SHOCK when Alex was eliminated, I really wanted to cry. His voice is so distinct and unique. I admit, I didn't pick up the phone, I was so sure when he let out that rich, soul-melting "I was saved by a woman" lyric in Trouble, that he was totally safe.. I was floored, and sick to my stomach when I saw what happen to him unfold on Thurs. night! The show itself never felt so cruel. I still can't think about it too long without tears rolling out. Having said that, I think everyone knows the site responsible for his departure! Even more sickening is their totally boosting their victory in saving those less deserving, and crushing those who were. So, I'm not really certain my few votes would have helped overcome the mean-spirited power-dialers.. It's just so wrong to see this happen to such an humble, open, sensitive person with such a gorgeous voice. AI has to bring him back! Otherwise I just don't think I could ever stomach another episode of the show.
I'm from Japan so I can't vote but I asked my sister who's in the US to vote for him. I've read a lot of people saying they voted for him so I don't get it that he didn't make it to the Top 12. He's got the most views in YouTube, the most comments in FB among the contestants. That must say something.

I've read that many people voted for Alex. Could this be a conspiracy? There were many Phone2Vote contests that were manipulated that the procuder hand picked the winners.
As a 41 year old Student Nurse with 3 small children, the only reason I was watching this season was because of Alex Lambert. He has the greatest voice. Unless he is reinstated, I will not be viewing American Idol this season. I am disheartened.

With all the hoopla on the internet the week prior about Alex Lamber and Lee and how they were the ones to watch, they ranked the highest, sang the best and blah blah blah, I was certain he was would be in there. I was shocked when he was "invited to leave" because he really is a diamond in the rough. If AI doesnt bring him back, I'm afraid their ratings will drop!

Definitely Alex deserved to be in the top 12 more than a few others. He deserved a chance to grow in this competition because he's truly good and he can be great. Please bring back Alex.

I voted for him all night and was so po'd he was kicked off. He has the best and most unique voice of all the guys.
I am a 30 year old woman and Alex was the only male singer this year that I would pay to see or buy their albums. I support the artists that I am passionate about! I voted for an hour and a half straight for Alex. So I know that some of his fans supported him. Please sign the petition. Also, go to Itunes and buy the audio of his three singles. Show AI and the record companies that he can be successful! Go Team Alex!

We had a top 13 last year! Do it again!!! Alex has so much raw talent and potential. He is so unique and unlike any other contestant.
I though Alex was the best out of the guys, but it would be really unfair to bring him back. Then every contestant would want a second chance and that's not how American Idol works. You get voted off, you go home. Plus what's the purpose? 11 more contestants are getting kicked off. Siobhan or Crystal will be the winner. But really, it is a shame.

Ofcourse it's fair!!! You're saying that it wouldnt be fair to any other contestant when they leave, to come back, but they're not the ones who have fans signing petitions for them, begging and pleading for their Idol to come back. Alex Lambert is truly the American Idol 2010, whether he wins or not, and he'll TOTALLY get a record deal. I know it. But it would be nice for him to come back. He's a true talent.

im from the philippines,i watch AI since david cook's season....they are my bets along with kris allen, and this season i prefer alex lambert and andrew garcia... I cant believe that alex got eliminated that early,he has the most unique voice among the contestants..i like his rendition of everybody knows... So i hope he will be back to compete again.... I'm sorry, but there is no reason Andrew Garcia should still be on the show. Alex was the best male talent on the show this year and to think that he left and Andrew is STILL on the show after his horrendous performance last night blows my mind. Alex rocks! Bring him back!

IDOL - PLEASE BRING ALEX BACK!!! I have been an Idol fan for years and Alex Lambert is the primary reason I have been a fan this year. My wife and I record every Idol show and I often replay the better performances. I have found myself watching Alex's performances over and over, especially his version of Everybody Knows. I thought it was better than the original and his voice is so much more appealing than that of John Legend. I threatened to give up Idol after he got voted off, but Siobhan has kept me interested. IDOL PLEASE BRING ALEX BACK.
This is a singing competition! Alex had the most unique and brilliant voice of anybody on the show..bring him back American Idol..over 17,000 fans have spoken and it is time to acknowledge us!
I tried to vote by calling that fateful night (March 10th, to be exact), but couldn't get through the busy lines. Little did I know that my spirit would be crushed and I would be crying for 7 days straight after Alex's elimination. Am too depressed to watch AI now with Alex gone. If he was brought back, I would stay up all night if need be to vote for him or I would switch to AT&T so that I could text my votes for him. He is talent and deserves that exposure neccessary for more fans. AI's ratings woul skyrocket if they brought him back, I'm sure of it.
