Dutch superstar DJ Tiesto is hosting a remix contest allowing users of Beatport the opportunity to remix his single "Knock You Out," featuring Emily Haines.
The track is from Tiesto's fourth studio release, Kaleidoscope, which was released last week on Musical Freedom/Ultra Records and debuted at No. 59 on the Billboard 200. There are a dozen guest appearances on the album, including Sneaky Sound System, Tegan & Sara, Calvin Harris and Nelly Furtado.
Beginning September 29, Tiesto made the parts to "Knock You Out" available to the public, who had from October 6 - 19 to upload their own remix of the song to Beatportal's remix page. Beginning yesterday (through November 3), the public can now vote for their favorite remixes on the contest page at www.beatportal.com.
Up to three winning remixes will by released on Ultra and PIAS Records. The top winning remix will also receive Tiesto merchandise, an Ultra records music package and a $250 Beatport gift card.
Tiesto's current North America tour runs through December.
