There is a online petition that has started by fans of American Idol' s Alex Lambert. Lambert was one of four contestants who was voted off the show last Thursday along with Toderick Hall, Lily Scott and Katelyn Epperly. The petition would like for Lambert to be reinstated as the thirteenth contestant. Last season, the show picked Anoop Desai as the thirteenth contestants during it's wild card show. The wild card was also used in Season 3. American Idol has not announced any plans to have a wild card pick for this season.
The creator of the petition is Jessica Bongiorno who has set a goal of 10, 000 signatures. Once those are obtained the petition will be forwarded to American Idol and 19 Entertainment. The petition has gained 12,305 signatures to date.
Alex Lambert's name became a leading Google search topic trends and is still a trending topic on Twitter since the show aired.
Lambert spoke with the press on Friday and stated he wish he could show every one what more he had in stored. He said that he let his nerves get the best of him.
