Transmission Fields at The Evening Muse
Charlotte's music listening room has posted its line-up for September, hinting that the fall will again feature a bounty of original live music at The Evening Muse.
A few highlights of the month to bring to your attention are as follows:
Sept 2nd - Tosoc House Party. With Septemebr 12th being the last of the 2009 Tosco Music Party events, this show promises to give a small preview of the talented musicians within Charlotte. An extremely fun time is always on offer as John leads the nights jam.
Sept 12th - Sam Thacker. While making Atlanta his home, Sam brings his booming voice and rock tempo to Charlotte a couple of times a year. This is a singer-songwriter you don't want to miss.
Sept 19th - Transmission Fields. Indie pop rock will be on tap at the late show as this local Charlotte group continues to expand its base. They just keep getting better and better.
Sept 25th - Patrick Davis (early show) & Girls, Guns & Glory (Late Show) - This night is a highlight of the month and will be on the personal calendar. The very talented singer-sonwriter Patrick Davis who has recently met with resounding success as country artists pick up his songs. Pat Green performs Patrick's song "Dixie Lullaby & rising country star Jason Michael Carroll does "Where I'm From". You can see both on Patricks MySpace page. Girls, Guns & Glory may be the best new music find of 2009 with their rediscovery of americana music and a unique ability to tell a comprehensive story. This is a band you don't want to miss. "Highlight of the month" sums this up pretty well.
While these are just a few of the shows coming to town, September is looking like a great music month for the Queen City!
Cheers,

Good suggestions, Monty. Might also want to check out: Benjy Davis Project, The Brilliant Inventions, Katie Herzig AND Richard Buckner. Anyone thinking of coming to Patrick Davis might want to get their tickets ahead of time. His shows usually sell out here. And stick around for the late show with Girls Guns & Glory :-)
Great additions Laurie! Truth be told you could spend most every weekend at The Evening Muse along with a few mid-week nights throughout the month soaking up the great vibes produced by the talented folks who grace their stage! That's why I always check out the Carolina Music Connection calendar when it comes out every Wednesday!
Cheers,
Monty
