Imagine a show that would include Grown Up Avenger Stuff, The Cloer's, Chris English, Haji Basim, Kevin Marshall, Ralph Husband, and Nicole Reynolds. Well that's exactly what the folks at the Tosco House Party were treated to on a chilly, rainy, windy night at the Evening Muse.
After the always unpredictable singalong featuring examples of great 70's & 80's music, Ralph led things off on stage with another great guitar solo. Most every month Ralph will step up and perform a tune he has been practicing. It's always a pleasure to listen.
The audience was treated to a couple of performances by John and Cate Cloer this evening. The second featured John on lead vocals and was a rousing success!
Soulful solo performances by Kevin Marshall and Chris English followed. One half of the band Grown Up Avenger Stuff (John & Deirdre) showed why they are a closely followed band in Charlotte. Strong guitar work by John and Deirdre's amazing vocals.
With a heavily booked calendar through January Nicole Reynolds stopped in to be the featured artist for this evening. A talented sing-songwriter, Nicole shared a few tunes with the audience as a preview to her late-show performance following the House Party.
A highlight of the evening was the solo performance by gifted singer Haji Basim. Haji hosts an open mic night the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at Amelie's.
Another successful year of Tosco House Parties! A very special thanks to John Tosco for his sustained energy & levity in hosting these wonderful opportunities for Charlotte's finest musicians to share their muse.
Keepin' it live,
