QUESTION 1: What is the technical term for the unique curved shape of the James S. McDonnell Planetarium?
ANSWER 1: The building is a hyperboloid, a shape that appears curved although it is made up of a series of strategically-placed straight lines. The James S. McDonnel Planetarium opened in 1963.

QUESTION 2: In which grand St. Louis hotel was the Tom Collins first concocted?
ANSWER 2: Planters’ House, which opened its doors in 1817 with 300 rooms.

QUESTION 3: Name the original host of the game show, “Jeopardy,” who also hosted a talk radio show on KMOX in St. Louis from 1979 to 1992?
ANSWER 3: Art Fleming was the original host of "Jeopardy," years before be began his long stint on KMOX.

QUESTION 4: Which St. Louis-born poet, novelist, and activist once said, “We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated?”
ANSWER 4: Maya Angelou, who is very much alive despite recent reports to the contrary.

QUESTION 5: What television show debuted in 1963, hosted by the St. Louis Zoo’s director, Marlin Perkins?
ANSWER 5: "Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom." Marlin Perkins was affiliated with many zoos over the years, but his first job was with the St. Louis Zoo, starting in 1926, where he was employed as a groundskeeper.
