Another critic joins the many others already against the MTV reality show, Jersey Shore. This time it has hit harder and higher; criticism now comes from the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus. MSNBC.com reports that the caucus says, The show promotes derogatory ethnic stereotypes and is wildly offensive.
On Tuesday December 22nd, the caucus sent a letter to the president of Viacom, MTV’s parent company, asking that the show be taken off the air immediately. Along with UNICO National, the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus has also urged advertisers to protest the show.
On top of the letter being sent to Viacom, the PolitickerNJ.com has said that the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, at the request of Senator Vitale, opened an investigation into employment and wage practices, as well as the tax status of the Shore Store where cast members supposedly worked while filming the program.
In terms of a response to their latest critic, NJ.com reports that, An MTV spokeswoman did not respond to a request for comment about the new charges.
And the drama continues on and off the show!

Comments
I watched this show with the hubby over the weekend. One episode was all it took to know that this is THE most pointless show MTV ever made. I'm not Italian, but I was shocked at how they portrayed "Guido's and Guidettes". Some Italians (married into my family) do not act like that...their parents would have beaten them!!!
