Actor Jon Voight on Obama: False prophet

Jon Voight stumping for John McCain in 2008.

You might remember Jon Voight from such films as Anaconda, Pride and Glory and Transformers. Others may remember the actor for his comments made during a GOP Congressional Dinner last night where he said he was "embarrassed" by the popular president and that Obama's leadership would bring the "downfall" of the country. "We are becoming a weak nation," Voight said, calling Obama a "false prophet" and his administration the "Obama oppression."

Voight, a conservative, has appeared on Fox News as a commentator in the past, along with the late Ron Silver. Here's what the actor had to say in an Op-Ed for The Washington Times during the run-up to the presidential election in 2008:

Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.

The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.

The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the Communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away.
Here's clip of the actor in Pride and Glory.

Yeah, well I LIKED 'Anaconda'. Follow me on Twitter.

I understand why Angelina Jolie and her children do not spend time with Granddad

This does not sound like the kind of dude who would welcome with open arms people who do not look like him

poorjolie...oh yeah, that's the reason. It's all about not looking like him. So, because Jon Voight is concerned about the Obama administration it's a "race" thing.

    That's weak and predictable. Dude.

I for one will not support a president that goes around the world apologizing for the U.S.

Everyone knows that Jon is a crackpot. Why do you think that Angelina won't let this nut near her kids.

    Dear Typical

I never mentioned the word race. Why do you?

Perhaps it is you that is obsessed with race.

I said he does not sound like the kind of dude who would welcome people who do not look like him because he appears to be intolerant. It takes a tolerant person to accept adopted children as his own. Also, it takes a tolerant person to accept as part of their family children from other races or ethnic groups. If you can do it you are tolerant and if you can not do it you are intolerant. The political rantings of Voight are personal and intolerant.

His Grand kids do not stand a chance-you see his grand kids look more like Obama than they do Grand Daddy.

President Obama apologizing? First give me a quote in context where he apologizes secondly if you believe Voight and President Obama is really God then what kind of God is incapable of an apology:)? Isn't that exactly the type of God we want-a God that says I am sorry for the wrongs committed that hurt any of my c

I'm uncomfortable whenever an actor delves into politics - be it from the left or right.

But Voight is far more coherent, and less hateful, than Janeane Garofalo!

What a pleasure it was to hear Mr. Voight speak! He sounds to be a very level headed man and from Hollywood... wow. I agree 100% I also feel Obama IS a false prophet. Thank God for freedom of speech. I'm afraid it won't be long before that will be compromised also.

Voight wouldn't recognize a socalled "socialistic/ Marxist conspiracy if he was knee deep in it. He is just another weak minded former "follower of radicalism to whom can forsake their beliefs in an instance for something opposite of their "conviction(?)...yeah right Mr. Voight! You don't have a conviction, Voight, you are moved to act on what ever pops into your head at the time...undisaplined and thoughtless as that might be. You are the perfect role model for a fledging and backward orientated political party who has constantly lied to the public. Congratulations Jon Voight this is your legacy...a confirmation for torture, war and radical religious fantasy.
