Taylor Lautner is clearly poised to be the breakout star from the “Twilight” franchise. E Online is reporting that the seventeen year old werewolf heartthrob has been cast in Summit Entertainment’s “Cancun,” a joint venture with Tailor Made Entertainment, which is run by Lautner’s father and which was created to develop vehicles for Taylor Lautner.
Lautner will be playing a college kid who gets invited by a girl to join her and her friends for spring break in Cancun, which probably means more shirtless scenes. When some of the kids are kidnapped by a drug cartel, Taylor has to step in and save them.
We’ve already reported that Lautner is already cast in Paramount’s “Max Steel,” which could have franchise potential.
And E Online also reports that Lautner is the top choice to play the Matthew Modine role in the eighties coming-of-age flick “Vision Quest,” which also starred Linda Fiorentino. That movie is actually best-remembered for the Madonna theme song, “Crazy For You.”
All this and Taylor Swift too. No wonder the teenage boys hate him.
