Ain’t It Cool News reports a conversation with Sylvester Stallone on the subject of a fifth Rambo movie. The movie is apparently in development, tentatively titled Rambo V: The Savage Hunt.
A little science fiction is getting into the mix, this time. The premise, apparently, is that Rambo is this time working for the government, on American soil in the Pacific northwest (sounds like shooting in Vancouver…)leading a black ops team in tracking a rogue killer who’s actually the result of a scientific experiment gone wrong. Don’t they always, in the movies? Anyway, the government was trying to create remorseless, instinctual killers in the laboratory and one of them got out. This experiment, according to AICN and First Showing.net, is supposed to tap into "the savagery that we all have deeply embedded inside us." For once, Rambo, will be the hunter and not the hunted.
A poster will be unveiled at the Toronto Film Festival, starting tomorrow.
One small note. The title is, frankly wrong. But this goes back to the third film. Rambo first appeared in the movie First Blood, based on the novel by David Morrell. The sequel was called Rambo: First Blood, Pt. II. The title was unwieldy. The next sequel would logically have been called Rambo II: First Blood Pt. III, a definite marquee-buster. The next movie was called Rambo III, although no movie had been called Rambo II. The fourth movie in the series, released in 2008, was simply called Rambo.
No production start or release dates have been announced yet.

How old is Sly? Is this gonna be like Steven Segal who has to wear a poncho 'cause he's so outta shape? I haven't seen Sly lately, hope he has not learned to speak good english or to memorize more than the vowels! He's at his best saying "eau" and "aerr"
