Barely twenty-four hours after wrapping principal photography on “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”, director David Slade is conscious and taking nourishment. He’s also posted the first known cast photograph from “Eclipse” on Twitpic, a moody shot of Australian heartthrob Xavier Samuels as Riley Biers. Slade tweets:
“In celebration of wrap first Eclipse cast photo Xavier Samuels between set ups as Riley Biers.”
Slade apparently took the photo himself between setups. He also spoke highly of the young actor in one of his periodic tweets.
There will, no doubt, be further leaks as “Eclipse” begins its long, slow journey through the labyrinth of post-production. Most, however, will probably be after “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” has completed its theatrical run, which doesn’t begin until November 20th. Much of the principal cast is already out promoting that movie, while David Slade gets ready to put all those little pieces of film they shot in Vancouver together into a movie.
