Jeff Beck was raised in Springfield, Virginia where he graduated from West Springfield High School. He also attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he graduated "cum laude" with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He is a member of the Allied Richmond Press and currently writes movie reviews as a volunteer for The Huntington News Network of Huntington, West Virginia and The Herald Independent of Winnsboro, South Carolina.
