Chaske Spencer may be the next hot thing to come out of the Twilight movie series. Chaske plays Sam Uley, one of the Quileute Native Americans on the La Push Reservation and although he merely had a cameo role in Twilight, he becomes a major character in the second installment of the film series, New Moon.
His character is the protector of his tribe form the “Cold Ones” and he is a first generation werewolf. He relinquishes his personal ambitions and gives up a college schoarship to stay with the tribe to protect them. Because of secrecy around the film, (the book discloses all of the details, but anymore information on this character will spoil it for those who have not read the books) many details of his importance in the film, New Moon will not be disclosed here.
With the fan craze around Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (Kristen Stewart as well but this is about the men of the film), Chaske Spencer will likely get his own following due to the large and heroic role he plays in the sequel. .jpg)
He is engaged to a character in the film and does accidentally scar her in an effort to actually protect her making the relationship a very interesting one to see develop. Watch the subplot of this love affair and be ready to sigh at the intensity of yet another soul-mate match in Twilight.

Well, I haven't seen Twilight fully...I kind of fell asleep watching the dvd so I'll have to look for him again. He definitely stands out from your cookie cutter Hollywood boys so that may get him more noticed. I will have to review his work to say more about him though.
Actually Chaske Spencer isn't in Twilight at all. The small part of Sam Uley was played by Solomon Trimble in the first movie. Although they never say Sam's name in Twilight, the casting lists Trimble as Sam Uley. Hope that clears up some confusion. (check out imdb.com for more info)
How is Sam a first gen werewolf??? He decended from the originals, but there haven't been any wolfs in some time b/c of the lack of vamps. Am I wrong, or just miss understanding.
Chaske is going to go FAR with this film... and I would LOVE to see him gain the acting nods he deserves! If he can make it to the big time and become the next Rob Pattinson... All the better for me and his fans!
