Like it or not this movie is going to look fantastic!
First off I want to pitch out a little brotherly love to Trekmovie.com for the so-cool-its-stupid photo of the new Enterprise that I ripped from them and mounted above this Trek news blurb. This guy's site - so far - has been the best source for Star Trek movie news on the net. Check out Anthony Pascale's, (founder and CEO of Trekmovie) review for the new Star Trek movie HERE.
Secondly, and most immediately Star Trek has changed release dates again Trek fans....
To MAY 7th 2009! Woo-hoo! Thursday May 7th at 7PM - Nation wide. One day ahead of schedule. That's actually a date change worth celebrating so lets celebrate. Check out the new "Going Down" TV spot for Star Trek XI and feel the electric guitar chuggery of a film that swears a Klingon blood oath that it's Not Your Father's Star Trek:
So that looked like a big steaming pile of bad ass.
Last on the Star Trek laundry list this afternoon. If you're a Trekkie who wants that extra special "something" to spice up your burial, or a friend/family member's burial, make it a Star Trek "Photon Torpedo" coffin for that long voyage six feet into Mother Earth. If it were me in the casket I'd make sure to have a close friend say at my eulogy "Of all the souls I've encountered in my travels, his was the most.... Human." And then maybe some bagpipes.

This is only a celebration for the lazy people who did not get tickets already! What about all of us big-time Trek fans who waited patiently for (and SOLD OUT) the MIDNIGHT showing tickets for May 7th?! All of us are getting SCREWED over! What a spit in the face! This is how Paramount repays our decades of loyalty?!?!
Well, that just made an otherwise crappy day a little bit better. :)

Woo-Hoo. It's 10 bucks man. See the bloody movie twice brother.
Why, why, WHY are you surprised? Paramount has screw us fans for years. As much as you want to believe different, this outing will nothing different.
Got something to say?
