You can't hide forever Costner...
Mel Gibson's doing Vikings. Brad Pitt's bringing Vlad the Impaler to the big screen. And Ridley Scott - bless his sweet, knighted, heart - is taking us off to Sherwood forest next Spring...
It's a period movie fan's (do NOT google those last three words) happy hunting ground!
Here's the first trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood:
Trailer Critique: Ridley Scott? Russell Crowe? Cate Blanchett? Robin Hood? Do I really need to critique this thing? Of course I'm excited to see this. The last time we Americans boarded the Robin Hood train we were served one very delicious villain, (Alan Rickman's Sheriff of Nottingham) and an entire smorgasbord of not so tasty British accents. (just about everyone else other than Rickman) This legendary robber/hero needs to be revisited all over again. Hopefully in a film that won't date itself as quickly as that last little bugger did.

Looks gooooood.
Looks excellent. The trailer makes it look like Gladiator all over again though.
Kevin Costner played the role very badly, maybe Russell will be better, but even Alan Rickman in the Sheriff was the best. All wonderful role, I do not understand why you have not received Academy Award? Alan Rickman the best!!!!
Got something to say?
