Logan Lerman is Percy Jackson and maybe Spiderman (AP Peter Kramer)
Logan Lerman isn't a household name as yet but it may soon be with the release of 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief' next week. The movie based upon the book by Rick Riordan also stars Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Rosaria Dawson, Kevin Mckidd and Steve Coogan.
'Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief' will be released on February 12th and there is much anticipation to see if this will be the first in a long line of Percy Jackson movies.
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood Logan Lerman, who plays Percy Jackson, states that he is interested in taking over the Spiderman role from Tobey Maguire and that the studio is also interested in him. You can watch the interview below. Just Jared Jr is stating that Zac Efron and David Henrie are also in talks of possibly taking over the role of Peter Parker in Spiderman.
Who will be the next Spiderman?
So far the names that are being thrown around are Logan Lerman, Zac Efron and David Henrie. There was also a rumor about Robert Pattinson being a contender but that has been ruled out already. Of the first three mentioned I like David Henrie the best, he stars in 'Wizards of Waverly Place' and 'How I Met Your Mother' and is a good versatile actor. Logan Lerman looks like a Peter Parker but I just can't see him helming two franchises as Percy Jackson and Spiderman, though Robert Downey, Jr has been able to do it is 'Iron Man' and Sherlock Holmes.

I enjoyed the three Spidey movies so far. I'm interested to see what this new director and cast can do with the franchise.
I can't imagine what anyone will be able to do with the Spiderman franchise. Having to start over like that...

You know this has been disproven, right? Lerman's own management team as well as Columbia Pictures reps denied these talks.
david henrie has been acting a long time. hes been on cold case, without a trace and many others. hes going to go a long way you watch
How could this young actor take over the Toby Maguire role, unless it is some sort of prequel (which wouldn't make sense, since the movies start with the origins of his superpowers)? He looks 10 years younger than Toby.

omg i think logan would make such a great spiderman. yea it would be wierd to be handleing so many films at once, but hes a tough guy. i think he could handle it. i would love to see his name get bigger because he isnt that well known right now, but i have known about him for a long time, and he is definitly a better actor than david henry , robert pattinson and zac efron. go logan !!!
i think that if zac efron played in this movie, it would make it lame, no effence zac, but your more of a disney guy. that goes for david henry too. sorry but i think logan is thwe best choice. :)

I think he'd be perfect for the role!
i think lerman can handle it. he's the right age for a high school peter parker, is the right height if based on the Ultimate Spiderman series. Plus he can act as seen in 310 to Yuma. He can even probably show the sense of humour and smart ass comments of spidey which were lacking in the Maguire depiction. Percy Jackson will also have exposed him to CGI work and best of all he was named after 2 comic book characters Logan (Wolverine) Wade (Deadpool)Lerman
yup logan can hack it. If you've seen Meet Bill, he can certainly do the comedy stuff which wasn't fully explored in the first spidey movies. Ryan Reynolds and Robert Downey are also doing multiple franchises and now even Taylor Lautner. Early reviews of Percy Jackson indicate that the kid can deliver and he said hes a fan of the comic book and movies
I think Logan would be perfect for the role. I not sure Zac can pull it off and David idk i think he should stick to disney shows.

@ angie - they only denied that Logan is CONFIRMED to be Spiderman. So far, they're still discussing and Logan is on top of the list.
