Ryan Reynolds is the big screen's Green Lantern.
Variety has recently reported that in the showdown for the coveted lead role in DC Comics' upcoming big-budget superhero film Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds has emerged victorious. This is terrific news-- not only has Reynolds proven that he can do action films capably (Wolverine, Blade: Trinity) and help open films well (the recent romcom The Proposal), but he is an actor of deep charisma and an endless reservoir of talent waiting to be tapped. The recent film Adventureland showed the fullest extent of his capabilities to date.
Would a Green Lantern film be a hit? With a rumored budget of 150-200 million, an unknown superhero commodity, and a plot revolving around space combat and alien races, this is an enormous risk. However, even if the film itself turns out to be a stinker, Ryan Reynolds should emerge unscathed. The wisecracking natures perfectly fits Reynolds' demeanor, plus his physicality makes him a believable superhero and easy on the eyes for the ladies. Martin Campbell, who rebooted James Bond successfully with Casino Royale, should create some whizbang special effects, but the writing team, completely untested in the world of film, may be a bit of a concern.
Reynolds-- perfect superhero or another Ben Affleck as Daredevil? You be the judge.

I had hoped he would be The Flash but that one may never happen so I'm happy with it considering the other two guys who just would have blown it! but he was great in the Proposal and I'm sure he'll be fine.. anyone would be from what they are saying about the script. The writing is everything in these movies! Acting is secondary.
............but he is a good actor!
NICOLAS CAGE FOR SINESTRO!!!!!
