Disney-Pixar's CG animated Up will more than likely be the biggest seller for DVD and Blu-ray releases this week as it's released today, November 10th. Up is one of the best films of the year (you can read my review here) and might just be my favorite Pixar film to date. The deluxe versions of the film will be released as a Two-Disc Deluxe Edition + Digital Copy on DVD and a 4 Disc Combo Pack with Digital Copy and DVD on Blu-ray. If you're wanting more extra features, be sure to get the Blu-ray. Blu-ray always gets more special features these days.
Comic book fans have more than likely been waiting for Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut, which is also released tomorrow. This will be the full director's cut of the film with the animated Tales of the Black Freighter spliced in to resemble the original graphic novel. ScreenRant has a great listing of the extras included with both versions of the film. Check out the specs below.

I wrote a review for Watchmen way back in March and made a list of the differences between the film and the graphic novel that you can check out here. Lastly, my review for Tales of the Black Freighter can be read here.
Other films being released on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow include the romantic comedy The Ugly Truth starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler and another romantic comedy entitled Spread starring Ashton Kutcher and Anne Heche. VideoETA has a solid list of home releases that you can view here and UHM has their usual list of horror releases, which you can view here. Looks like another slow week for horror with the biggest release this week being Near Dark finally getting released on Blu-ray.
Coming to theaters this Friday, November 13th is the action film 2012 starring John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt, Danny Glover, and Woody Harrelson. The film revolves around the world coming to an end on December 21, 2012, the last day in the Mayan calendar. The only other film seeing wide distribution over the weekend is the comedy Pirate Radio. The film takes place in the 1960s and introduces us to a group of DJs that have gathered on a boat in the middle of the Northern Atlantic to play rock and roll records and break the law for their love of music. Wes Anderson's stop-motion animated Fantastic Mr. Fox (wide release Nov. 25) and the drama The Messenger (wide release Nov. 20) starring Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson will have a limited release starting tomorrow. There's also word that Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is set to get a wide release starting this Friday, but I've yet to see a listing at a theater near me.
Michael Jackson's This Is It slipped to number 2 this past weekend, November 6th-8th, as Disney's A Christmas Carol took the number one spot. Here's a look at the top ten:
1. Disney's A Christmas Carol
2. Michael Jackson's This Is It
3. The Men Who Stare at Goats
4. The Fourth Kind
5. Paranormal Activity
6. The Box
7. Couples Retreat
8. Law Abiding Citizen
9. Where the Wild Things Are
10. Astro Boy
