Oceans documentary makes US debut on Earth Day

The ecological documentary Oceans will make its U.S. debut on Earth Day.

Directed by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud, Oceans is a dramatic look at the underwater world and its rapidly-disappearing wonders. The film has been narrated in several different languages, including French, Italian, and Japanese; Irish actor and environmental activist Pierce Brosnan provides the narration for the English version.

Disneynature, an independent film label that is part of the Walt Disney Company and the studio behind Oceans, has promised to donate a portion of ticket sales from the film's first week to the Nature Conservatory.

Oceans opens in U.S. theaters on April 22, 2010. In Columbia, Oceans will be playing at Carmike 14 and Regal Sandhill Stadium 16. Get more information about showtimes here.
