Kristen Stewart’s popularity has been soaring in the months following her debut as Bella in the film “Twilight.” Now Stewart has revealed she would fancy the opportunity to show off another side of her entertainment ability, singing on “American Idol.”
Stewart jokingly revealed her aspirations in a joint interview with Taylor Lautner during their publicity shoot for Entertainment Weekly. Stewart and Lautner expressed interest in singing a duet in front of the “American Idol” fans during the upcoming season as both laughed at the possibility.
Taylor Lautner revealed he is a long running fan of the show stating, “I am kind of addicted.” Lautner went on to joke that he would enjoy being on “Idol” for its “25th season.”
Stewart and Lautner have been building a friendship during preparation for their joint acting efforts in the "Twilight Saga." The two actors have been spotted shopping in Vancouver while taking a break from filming "Eclipse," as well as attending dinner. Fans will be relieved to know the pair are only friends, leaving the public perception of Stewart and Pattinson intact.
Kristen Stewart added, “I want to go on American Idol with Taylor,” as the two actors played around in front of Entertainment Weekly cameras.
When asked what song they would be performing Stewart laughed, “Love Story, totally….the Taylor Swift song.”
The chance to perform in front of Simon Cowell is intimidating to most performers for the show, but Kristen Stewart may just be the first entertainer to intimidate the British music producer with Taylor Lautner by her side.
The publicity tour for the second installment of the "Twilight Saga" is now running full throttle with the release date only two months away.
