Peg Aloi has been a freelance film critic for the BOSTON PHOENIX for over a decade. She has also written reviews and articles locally for ART NEW ENGLAND, the BOSTON METRO, and the NEW ENGLAND FILM website, and writes reviews online for CINEFANTASTIQUE, and THE WITCHES' VOICE. She also is a film scholar who teaches film studies at Emerson College, and has a book forthcoming from I. B. Tauris on cinema and the occult. She loves horror, foreign films and any cinema that is beautiful, intelligent and/or entertaining. She likes real butter on her popcorn, and polite behavior from her fellow moviegoers.
