Ward Porrill is a longtime movie fan and avid award show watcher. A fifteen year Hollywood resident, Ward caught the movie awards bug after watching the Academy Awards on a hotel television in 1979. Though friends and family often ask him to handicap Oscar pool odds, Ward has never actually won any cash or prizes for his vast knowledge of cinema. He's betting that this will finally be his year.
