What would you do if you were asked to participate in an Extreme Odor Experiment? You might raise an eyebrow … or two. Or, better yet, you might take the plunge and agree to be an odor guinea pig.

Odor guinea pig
Imagine my surprise when asked to test Agion Active odor elimination technology. This is the second time I’ve been asked to test odor-eliminating fabric. Was someone trying to tell me something about my personal hygiene?

Back in 2007 I performed a sweat test on lululemon’s silverescent shirt. That garment contained silver fibers, which inhibit bacteria growth and hence odor. My conclusion was that the silver did indeed inhibit odor retention justifying their claim of odor free fabric.

Agion Active
Flash forward to April 2010, when I conduct my own extreme odor experiment. With silver ions at the heart of Agion Active technology I admittedly was expecting an odor free outcome. After all the silver worked magic in the lululemon silverscent shirt. But, was this just as effective?

Indeed, my Agion Active test T-shirt stood up to a grimy, sweaty 13.8 miles in Grand Canyon National Park without retaining stink on the treated half of the shirt. The other half, well it didn’t fair so well as verified by my companions that day.

Disclaimer: While I did receive a free T-shirt for testing purposes, I am not eligible to receive prizes as a result of my extreme odor experiment or review of the Agion Active technology.

Interesting test Jill...but not something I personally would probably use :)
