In 1969, Russ Jobman accepted a position as busy boy in the Buffalo Dining Room with the Mount Rushmore National Memorial concessionaire Mount Rushmore Mountain Company. He was promoted to gift shop floor supervisor the summer of 1970 and worked in this position full time while going to college full time. He was promoted to Human Resource Director in 1974. The Mount Rushmore Mountain Company was replaced as concessionaire in January 1993 by TW Recreational Services of which was purchased by Xanterra Parks and Resorts in 1996. Russ was promoted to General Manager in 2001.
