If you’re looking for an adventure in the “culinary arts” this New Year’s Eve, look no further than the Mount Dora Sushi and Steak restaurant located in historic downtown Mount Dora. The inaugural "Wild and Naked New Year's Eve Party," sure to become an annual tradition, promises not only to be exciting and fun but decadent as well with jaw-dropping and eye-popping highlights. And your eyes will certainly pop like many a champagne cork on this night as the “wild” evening comes alive.  Have no worries, it's all in good "taste," literally.

Starting at 9 p.m., the event kicks off with free flowing champagne, a mouthwatering buffet of delectable Japanese dishes and live music by Kevin Hardy in the “beer garden” in front of the restaurant.

At 10 p.m., behold Nyotaimori - the Japanese art form of adorning a woman’s body. Chef Takashi Kobayashi will prepare authentic Japanese cuisine and then artistically apply his “paints” to his canvas (the model) for a stunning presentation of this art form that combines the body and soul [food].

At midnight, it’s time for Baby New Year to serve up the Saki shots to ring in 2010!

If you’ve never been to Mount Dora Sushi and Steak, you’re in for a real treat. The restaurant serves up only the freshest sushi, sashimi, tempura and a variety of other tasty and delicious Japanese dishes, and with exceptional service as well. And, if you’re brave enough, you can always take on the VYPOR roll challenge – Vapors in Your Pie hOle Roll – or in other words, a sushi roll prepared with the “hottest” ingredients and sauces on the planet and if you succeed in eating every one of the eight pieces, other than the pain and suffering you’ll endure, your picture is added to the “Wall of Flame” and you get a Mount Dora Sushi T-shirt. Word of caution - after having personally witnessed the VYPOR challenge, I would only recommend this for those that truly love it “hot and spicy.”

Tickets to the Mount Dora Sushi and Steak Wild and Naked New Year’s Eve Party are $60 per person or $100 per couple and reservations are required so don’t delay in getting your tickets. Contact Janet Craig at 352-217-8390 to reserve your seat for this unprecedented wild and naked Mount Dora New Year’s Eve party. Mount Dora Sushi is located at 124 E. Third Avenue between Donnelly and Baker Streets.
