Fans can now enjoy behind the scenes NASCAR tales from driver, stars and media members that will charge their emotions at a low cost, slick paperback price.

Chicken Soup of the Soul: NASCAR is billed as101 Stories of Family, Fortitude, and Fast Cars. The primary authors are Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen & Cathy Elliott

The inspirational book was released on February 16, 2010 and joins the Chicken Soup for the Soul series of books with moving tales published over the past 15 years.

This NASCAR collection includes stories from Jimmie Johnson, Darrell Waltrip, Tony Stewart, Brian Vickers, Joey Logano, Bobby Labonte, Martin Truex Jr., Michael Waltrip, Buddy Baker, Scott Speed, Aric Almirola, Mike Skinner, Kerry Earnhardt, Brad Daugherty and Brian France … plus many tales from NASCAR insiders.

Two National Examiners, Dwight Drum [Motorsports Examiner and Tampa Motorsports Examiner] and Greg Engle [NASCAR Examiner and Formula One Examiner] had their submissions clear the 95 percent rejection bar to be among the 101 select stories. Drum has two stories and Engle has one in the published book.

Chapter 1 Lessons Learned [“Onions 101” by Dwight Drum]
Chapter 2 Dale [“A Wave and a Smile” by Greg Engle]
Chapter 3 Behind, and Beyond, the Wheel [“The Science of Speed” by Dwight Drum]

Both Examiners urge motorsports fans to buy this book. Neither will get any royalties as they were paid promptly upon release for their efforts, but the camaraderie that is special to the NASCAR garage area where optimal work is routine needs to be shared with fans.

Drum also discussed his contribution for the morning show in the Fox TV 35 studios in Orlando, Fla., recently.

Drum and Engle agreed to sign their pages for any fan at any NASCAR event that they attend. Also, Tampa and Orlando area fans who buy the book may get their copy signed by e-mailing Zoomguys@aol.com and requesting a location like a nearby Florida coffee house. Every request will be followed by courteous efforts to make connections.

Fans can also urge their local Florida book store to request a visit by Drum and Engle.

    Thanks Paula,
I was surprised when they put both of my stories in the book. One would have been wonderful. Buy the book and enjoy all 101 of the stories. I'm in great company.
