It's hard to argue with critics that call this one "cheezy" -- but the from-the-heart biker message and bikes throughout drop this video into the number two spot. Congrats to Joey J and the Shovelheads for a well-produced video.

I just discovered this gem of a song while surfing the 'net last night; what a timely discovery! Screw the critics! As the old saying goes: "If I've got to explain it, you'll never understand!" Joey and the Shovelheads definitely hit the nail on the head with this one! Who could argue the point?
I think it is destined to become a classic, right up there with Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild" from 1968! Showin' my age, I guess- Who Cares? Can Spring be far off now? I think me and my '47 Knucklehead will be out on the road before too long, now! Peace out, brother! Carlos.
I agree SCREW the critics!!!!
This is the true explanation of how we feel when riding
I think these guys are right on. I ride and understand the song. I would love to get a hold of about 100 of the shirts they ride with in the video. Thanks Joey for a great song. It hits the hearts of every rider.
I'm with you Carlos. I have often thought that if someone didn't understand, I could sit them down and have them watch the video of Open Road until they had memorized every lyric and every image...then they just might get it!
I find myself singing this song to myself while cruising down the road most of the time. Open Road has become my personal riding anthem. Great job Joey J!!!
When will this song be on cd and where can it be purchased.

The best information I could find was from Road Captain USA.com -- here:
"You can send the people to jmassimoj@yahoo.com for now. That is one of my personal addresses. Thank You! Joey J"

I love this song but for your list How about adding Roll me Away by Bob Segar...
Perfect! It describes all about riding on the "open road". Thanks Joey Jay and the Shovelheads.
