For anyone in the land of ice and snow, jonesing for a motorcycle ride, planning your summer trips is an established coping method. For those fortunate enough to live where you can ride all year round, it's still not too early to start your planning.
The following is a list of some of the bigger events coming up this year and their dates. As the various events draw nearer we'll put up more detailed information.
Daytona Bike Week runs February 26 to March 7 this year. This is the first big rally of the year and one of the biggest period. In addition to exhibits, shows, concerts, festivals, not to mention the racing at Daytona International Speedway, the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show is returning this year and if you are an official rally attendee the show is covered in your overall fee.

- Harley Rendezvous Classic, June 25-27
- AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, July 9-11
- Indiana Boogie, July 15-18
- National Bikers Roundup, August 3-8
- Little Sturgis Rally and Races, August 9-15
- Sturgis Bike Week, August 9-15
- DelMarVa Bike Week, September 16-19
- Blues, Bikes, & BBQ, September 29-October 2
- Las Vegas Bikefest, September 20-October 2
- Daytona Beach Biketoberfest, October 14-17
- Lonestar Rally, November 4-7
Of course, that's not close to being a complete list of upcoming events, but it includes many of the major ones. The important thing is, if you enjoy bike rallies and such, decide which ones you're going to and start planning. They're drawing closer by the minute.
