Road trip this summer? Now is the time to buy, before prices go up.
Not many people are thinking about buying a motorcycle right now, what with winter and all. That means it's the perfect time to do exactly that. Buy now while prices are low, not later when everyone else starts their shopping.
Gas prices are already creeping up and will probably go higher. Not only is a motorcycle better on gas mileage, it's more fun, too. Rather than cursing your commute you may well find yourself choosing the long way around. "Let's see, it's 8 miles to the office the direct way, on the highway, or 17 miles on the back roads. That's a no-brainer, it's back roads for me!"
Just to whet your appetite, here are some bikes I see posted right now around the country on craigslist. There are some bargains here.
- 1997 Honda CBR 600 F3 - $2100 (Denver)
- 2002 Harley Sportster 1200S - $3800 (New Ulm, MN)
- 2006 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 - $4500 (Atlanta)
- 2007 Yamaha Roadstar - $7000 (Hampton, GA)
- 2003 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI - $10000 (Peoria, AZ)
- 2007 kawasaki Vulcan 900cc LT Classic - $4950 (Phoenix)
- 2008 Suzuki DR650 dualsport - $4500 (Nevada City, CA)
- 2004 Suzuki GS500 - $1999 (Port Angeles, WA)
There are a lot of bikes out there, and you'll definitely find what you want. Do it now, before prices go up.
