Are baby products safe?
The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics recently tested 48 baby products, including baby shampoo, baby wash and baby lotions for harmful chemicals, including formaldehyde, which, according to the report, can trigger allergic reactions and are unsafe for our environment.
According to Liz Szabo of USA Today, even baby products from stores such as Whole Foods, contain environmentally harmful chemicals, enough to have formaldehyde baby products banned in Japan and Sweden.
Avoid carcinogenic baby products
Be sure to check the list of tested baby products. Szabo recommends that consumers stay away from formaldehyde or 1,4-dioxane.
