York Van Nixon III is a native and resident of Washington, D.C. When not consulting in real estate and finance, he spends his time writing mystery-fiction and poetry. Mr. Van Nixon has degrees in Psychology and Fine Arts. He is a licensed real estate broker, residential appraiser and mortgage broker. His companies are operated under the banner of Nex Millennium Realty. Presently, mortgage activities are limited to commercial loan placements and private-placement offerings. Despite the present economic downturn, he expects the real estate market to return to stability by the end of 2010. In his opinion, recovery could return sooner if the Federal Government would address failing home values. Without access to the equity in their greatest investment, homeowners are not able to contribute to greater spending, which is needed for a healthy economy.
