Keystone Montessori School, in North Chelmsford, MA welcomes the community to a celebration of International Day of Peace.
On Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. the community is invited to come together to create a large mural celebrating our world. The mural above, The World Of Water, was created by young children age 3-6 in Keystone's Summer Program.
The murals will be sent to the Art Miles Project, and with other murals from around the world, they will be draped on the Great Pyramids in Egypt.
In addition to painting and drawing on the mural, parents and their children will be invited to create peace flags which use words or pictures to illustrate wishes for peace in the world.
There is no charge, and everyone is welcome to participate. Keystone will provide all supplies, and will submit our community creation to the Art Miles Project.
