Health care is just the tip of the sword

That phrase has been uttered several times as a metaphor for how Barack Obama's agenda isn't anywhere close to being complete, but it is equally apropos as a metaphor for how the Tea Parties, nearing their first birthday, aren't anywhere close to being finished yet either.

The most popular refrain heard from the movement over the past several months has been "We are not going away" and if the Monmouth County Tea Party scene is an indicator of the national movement, it is clearly true and should be taken with dire seriousness by the Democrats and Republicans in New Jersey. In the past week I've been to two local GOP meetings in Manalapan and Wall and at both meetings, the membership in attendance listened with rapt attention to the speaker invited to talk about the movement.

The speaker I accompanied on both occasions is Monmouth County Tea Party guru, Mark Falzon.

A gregarious, self-described "old New York guy", Falzon is intimately involved with three Monmouth County Tea Parties: Bayshore Tea Party, Jersey Shore Tea Party Patriots and the Ocean County Tea Party. Representative of the common tea party themes of autonomy and cooperation, Falzon works with all three groups within each group's framework to advance what can best be described as the two pillars of the tea party movement: Smaller Government and fiscal responsibility.

Make no mistake about it ladies and gentlemen, ObamaCare is only the tip of the tea party sword. Falzon told me that in the two days since the law passed, the phones at all three Monmouth County groups have been ringing off the hook with inquiries into how one can best get involved. I witnessed this personally at the Wall GOP meeting where the most enthusiastic responses came in response to Mr. Falzon and the two other tea party speakers invited to inform the GOP on what's going on in their own backyards.

We will be bringing you in-depth analysis and coverage of the Monmouth County Conservative scene on a regular basis right here. Interviews with Conservative candidates are in the works and coverage of the tea party candidate vetting sessions, which will no doubt be highly charged and highly productive, will be brought to you in living color.

Stay tuned for your comprehensive Monmouth County Congressional District Candidate primer which will be right here by the end of the week.

Health Care is only the beginning dear readers; we have not yet begun to fight.

People are very unhappy about the power grab by Obama and the Democrats.

There will be many D's looking for work on November 3rd.
