This former Jersey Girl knows her ice cream. Seeing as how ice cream has been relegated to a once-per-week cheat treat a body had better get the most bang for their buck or else cages will be rattled. Marble Slab Creamery, Colleyville has no need for concern. The ice cream is simply heaven and it is always served with a smile.
As a matter of fact, their rotating "Sandra Lee's Taste of Summer Creations" special has got This Examiner coming back every Saturday. First week it was a strawberry shortcake concoction. The following week it was a chocolate fudge cake creation that had This Examiner publicly uttering all sorts of strange noises as she couldn't woof the ice cream down quickly enough. Not sure if this was due to the Texas heat or the fact that the ice cream was so good. Either way the combination made for one happy Summer time camper.
If you are concerned about caloric intake then you can wimp out and stick with your 3 ounces of sugar free gelatin. But if your primary concern is taste, indulgence and a bellyful of satisfaction then Marble Slab Creamery should be your destination.
