On Tuesday August 4, 2009, a Municipal Primary will be held in Detroit to nominate candidates for the offices of the Mayor, City Clerk, City Council, Charter Commission, and Board of Education At-Large.
There are seven candidates for Mayor. Voters will select one. The candidates are:

There are one hundred and sixty-seven candidates for City Council. Voters will select not more than nine. The candidates are too many to name, so please visit www.mivote.org .

Reminder: You can vote by absentee ballot at the Department of Elections up to August 3rd until 4:00p.m. If you wish to have a absentee ballot mailed to you, you can call the Absentee Voting Unit at 313-876-0212.
Detroit, get to the polls on August 4, 2009 to vote in the Municipal Primary Election. The polls open at 7:00a.m. and close at 8:00p.m.
Final reminder: If you are in line at your polling location at 8:00p.m., you will be allowed to vote.

I WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE DETROIT RACE AND WOULD LIKE MY NAME MENTION JUST LIKE THE REST OF THEM. CHECK WITH THE ELECTIONS COMMITTEE AND YOU WILL SEE THAT I AND THE OTHER PERSON MIGHT WANT TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE CITY THAT WE ALL LOVE AND WANT TO BE A PART OF THE RESTRUCTURING OF THE CITY.
