Huge City of Heroes news for superheroes and supervillains alike. Issue 17: Dark Mirror is coming soon and it's bringing big changes, virtual world-changing ones! The ultra-mode (an optional upgrade the graphics in-game) talked about at this year's Hero Con will be in Issue 17 along with the following:
- New badges, new missions and new player emotes
- Epic Archetypes now available at level 20
- Improvements and additions to Mission Architect
- Enhancements to UI and game systems
- Much more
But just like an infomercial, that's not all! The expansion, Going Rogue, will be released in July. If you can't wait for the new powers sets included in Going Rogue then you need to preorder the game. If you preorder Going Rogue you can get your hands on the Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning power sets in March and April!
In July, there will also be an exclusive item pack included in the City of Heroes: Going Rogue Complete Collection. That pack includes:
- Alpha- and Omega-themed auras
- Alpha and Omega themed costumed sets
- Four stance emotes
- The Shadowy Presence invisibility power
You can preorder the base expansion for $29.99 or the Complete Collection for $39.99. When it's available at the NCSoft Store, you'll be the first to know! More details are incoming. Check out some side-by-side comparisons of the old City of Heroes world and the new ultra-mode world below.
