The list of truly controversial fighters in the UFC adds names on a regular basis, though Dana White has a tendency to get rid of the real trouble-makers rather quickly. Fighters like War Machine (formerly Jon Koppenhaver) and Renato “Babalu” Sobral have been shown the door for offenses
in and out of the cage, and now The Ultimate Fighter season 8 cast member Junie Browning has joined the list. Browning, who suffers from bipolar disorder, was arrested Tuesday night in near Las Vegas for allegedly assaulting three nurses at St. Rose Dominican Hospital. According to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he had ingested 16-20 anti-anxiety pills in an attempt to overdose.

In addition to his accused physical attack on the three health care providers, Browning allegedly screamed “Do you know who I am? I will kill you and rape your family” at his victims. He was taken to a local detention center and detained briefly, but was released. Browning faces three charges, and the prospect of finding new employment. UFC President Dana White quickly reacted, cutting the troubled young fighter from the roster.
Browning is known for his antics on The Ultimate Fighter, where he repeatedly attempted to fight other members of the house, and even threw glass at another fighter. After the show finished airing, he stated that he had been trying to play to the cameras to get attention.
It seems he’s getting more attention than he bargained for now.
