Current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will not compete at UFC 106 November 21st in Las Vegas due to an unspecified illness.
Lesnar, a former professional wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment, was to have defended his title against undefeated Shane Carwin (11-0). The fight has been rescheduled for January 2nd, 2010 at UFC 108.
As a result, the main event at UFC 106 likely will be Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin in a light heavyweight bout. That night's card will also feature Richmond native Amir Sadollah looking for redemption from his first defeat when he faces Phil Baroni in the welterweight division.
