Mike Swick out, Paul Daley in to fight Martin Kampmann at UFC 103

Mike Swick will bow out of his UFC 103 bout with Martin Kampmann due to a training camp injury, reports Mark Gilbert of The Sun. This report has also been verified independently by MMAWeekly.

Swick was swept out of the bout quite literally, as Gilbert reports that American Kickboxing Academy training partner Josh Koscheck swept Swick while sparring, causing him to land on his head. Swick's injuries aren't being reported as serious, but enough to knock him off of the September 19 card.

In to face Kampmann steps electric UK striker Paul "Semtex" Daley. Daley, who was scheduled to face Brian Foster on the undercard, will step up to the main card in order to test Kampmann's stout jaw. Kampmann, a quality kickboxer in his own right, will have to be on his toes as Daley has several highlight-reel knockouts to his record. If Kampmann can bring the fight to the ground, however, he has a better chance of taking away a win -- Daley's ground game has been his biggest weakness in the past.

News of Swick's injury is somewhat saddening, seeing as he would have been another stiff test to Kampmann at 170 lbs. Daley, however, is an adequate replacement considering the short notice.

UFC 103 airs Saturday, September 19 on pay-per-view.
