While Shane Carwin was out promoting UFC 106 at Kmart last week-end, little did he know that UFC 106 would not be his championship opportunity. Although the UFC has still not said what exactly is wrong with Brock Lesnar, who holds the UFC title belt, Carwin has hinted at it being the swine flu. According to reports from ESPN the UFC Commissioner Dana White said , "(Lesnar) says he's never been this sick in his life."
The reality is that the H1N1 virus is a danger to every fighter because by its very nature, training in MMA involves the exchange of germs.Anyways, it seems that Lesnar vs. Carwin is being moved to UFC 108 regardless of what ailment Lesnar may have at the moment.
All of this H1N1 talk leads to the new facts on the ground. UFC 106 is now being headlined by none other than the Huntington Beach Bad Boy himself, Tito Ortiz against another very popular former champion at light heavyweight Forrest Griffin. Oritiz's signing is obviously a change in the direction of his personal relationship with Dana White given that the two have had a lot of bad blood. In UFC 59 Griffin and Ortiz met and the result was a split decision for Ortiz.
In other UFC news both Mike Swick and Michael Bisping will fight in UFC 105 on Spike TV in yet another set of excellent non pay-per-view live MMA fights.
Reaction to UFC 104 continued late into Monday evening at local gyms throughout the New Orleans area. Former New Orleans World Kickboxing Champion William Knorr said, "wow, thats a vicious knockout" after watching the Pat Barry vs. Antoni Hardonk fight tonight for the first time on the computer at POWER MMA. Knorr marveled at the way in which Barry was able to destroy a much larger fighter with straight punches. And Knorr noted that Pat Barry seems to wave his hand as he winds up for his most effective strikes adding much to his flare. New Orleans MMA fans have had Pat Barry on their minds all week and his win has inspired many fighers who have taken classes from him to suck it up and train harder for their upcoming matches.
What day is Congo vs. Barry? We don't know yet but the MMA examiner will keep you informed if the fight that Barry has called for materializes.

why dont they just feed kimbo to shane carwin to make up the card.easy night for carwin and big payperview rate for ufc because there r millions of non fans that saw kimbo beat up a guy named afro puff on youtube and that makes him the toughest fighter well ever.they can even squeeze another payper view out of kimbo explaining he took the fight on short notice otherwise he would have been far more competative lol.or carwin can just dismantel kimbo and put an end to the love affair once and for all.then come 108 carwin can get his ass beat in an almost identical way heath herring did and slip into his new role as the ufc gatekeeper.
