Bellator Fighting Championships concluded its tour of Texas last Thursday and saw Bryan Baker submit Eric Schambari and Alexander Shlemenko defeat Austin's Jared Hess via TKO. The winners will meet in the middleweight tournament final this Thursday in Hollywood, Fla.

 

Amarillo-native Marcus Sursa approached the brink of victory after blasting UFC-vet Eddie Sanchez with a counter punch, but Sanchez demonstrated tremendous toughness in turning the fight around to win by TKO in the third round.

Corpus Christi's Jimmy Flick saw some air-time as the third round of his unanimous decision victory over Humberto DeLeon made the broadcast on Fox Sports Net. It was Flick's pro debut.

"The Gym", known for producing boxers, mixed martial artists and professional wrestlers, transforms into XKO Arena this Friday to host XKO 7.

True to form, the show will feature a combination of attractions, including a block party at 6pm with live music by Egress and a bikini contest (most stylish bikini? Most fireproof? We'll just hope to be pleasantly surprised when we get there).

At 8pm, XKO rolls out a ten-fight pro MMA event, featuring Anthony "Mad Dog" Macias, veteran of UFC 4, taking on the Houston's Edwynn Jones, an extremely busy man who has fought 20 times in the last 23 months.
