In 2000, Colorado Rapids midfielder Seth Trembly garnered plenty of attention when he missed their home game against the Miami Fusion to attend his senior prom.

The 18-year-old joined the Rapids through the Project-40 developmental program. Trembly attended his prom at Arapahoe High School and had permission from Rapids coach Glenn Myernick before the season.

Myernick certainly had fun with the topic: "With all of our injuries of late, I just hope when his date pins on his boutonniere, she doesn't stick him with it and he misses two weeks due to infection."

Trembly went on to play for Real Salt Lake and then spent 2007 with the USL First Division's Montreal Impact.

Last year he was with the Colorado Rapids Reserves, and recently he has helped out with multiple events in support of Marcia Williams, wife of Real Salt Lake's Andy Williams, who was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia.

Trembly wrote a nice note late last year about his support of the Williams family through this difficult time.
